Sign up for Amazon Prime.

There’s no way around it, so I’m getting it out of the way now.  Amazon already started their  Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales, and getting closer to that weekend I’m sure will be even more bonkers.

Now’s the absolute BEST time to sign up for Amazon Prime’s 30-Day Free Trial.

Sign up to ALL the Email lists.

Is there a store you’re hoping will have a sale? They probably are!  Make sure you are signed up to your favorite stores’ email lists at least one week prior to Black Friday.  Most stores hold Pre-Black Friday sales & coupons that you will want to know about, especially now that they don’t want all of us flooding their physical stores.

Even more, most stores give you a discount just for signing up.  Every bit of savings counts!

The one email list that I was happy I jumped onto early was Erin Condren.  They give you a $10 coupon that you can use ANY time, for signing up to their free Insider Rewards program. (Just click on “Enroll in EC Insider Rewards program” under your info when you sign up, and you’ll get your coupon!)

Review Your Holiday Budget.

Wait, you don’t have a budget?!?  Stop right here and read this post.  It’ll give you everything you need to set up your Holiday Budget.

The short version is to at least have a list of who you are buying gifts for.  Double check that you are on the email lists for all of the stores you are planning on buying from!  Coupons go a long way.

If you need a little gifting inspiration, here are a few of my gift guides:

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ text_font=”Georgia||||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”19px” ul_font_size=”20px” ul_line_height=”1.7em” ol_font_size=”20px” ol_line_height=”1.7em” header_font=”Georgia||||||||” header_2_font=”Georgia|700|||||||” header_2_text_color=”#cc1c9a” header_2_font_size=”30px” header_2_line_height=”1.7em” header_3_font=”Georgia||||||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Double Check your Credit/Debit Card Funds

No matter when you decide to shop, make sure your credit card info is current on the sites you are trying to score sales on.  Also, make sure the cards you are using have enough money/credit available to actually use

There’s nothing worse than clicking that “place order” button and getting kicked back because your card was declined.

Sign up for a Cash Back App

You will be buying all sorts of things from all different stores.  You’ll need a cash back app that doesn’t ONLY apply to one or two.  My absolute favorite is Rakuten, it used to be called eBates.

You basically sign up, install their Google Chrome extension and that’s IT. The app TELLS YOU when the store you are shopping at has a cash back offer.  I made a short video to take you with me shopping at Michaels.com to show you how ridiculously easy it is to use:

[/et_pb_text][et_pb_code _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_code][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ text_font=”Georgia||||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”19px” ul_font_size=”20px” ul_line_height=”1.7em” ol_font_size=”20px” ol_line_height=”1.7em” header_font=”Georgia||||||||” header_2_font=”Georgia|700|||||||” header_2_text_color=”#cc1c9a” header_2_font_size=”30px” header_2_line_height=”1.7em” header_3_font=”Georgia||||||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Another reason why I absolutely love this app is because of its referral program. After you sign up through my referral link here, you get extra cash back as a thank you after you make your first purchase! The cash back can be anywhere from $20 to even $40 with your first purchase!

I hope you sign up right here, it’s totally free money.

Plus, after you are a member, you get your own referral code. For every friend you refer, you get some extra cash back too! It really adds up, and before you know it you’ll have over $50 coming to you. In the video I show you that my last check from them was $64!

Keep Your Websites Organized with Bookmarks or Open Tabs.

Instead of frantically typing websites into your browser at midnight, keep the sites you are definitely shopping in a “favorites” bookmark folder on your browser.

If you can, also try to simply keep the websites open on your computer, so all you need to do is hit the “refresh” button.

Remember, this year there will be a LOT of pre-sales, so make sure to check back often if there is something specific you have in mind to buy.

Here are some popular Black Friday & Cyber Monday sites to consider bookmarking:

Target.com. Target has plenty of pre-black Friday sales, as well as Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales.  You also get an additional 5% off of every purchase and free shipping if you have a Target Red Card.

Amazon.com. This site obviously speaks for itself.  Don’t forget to grab your Amazon Prime account for a 30-Day Free Trial.  I also highly suggest you snoop around their “holiday deals” pages before Black Friday, so you get an idea of how to navigate the site when the deals start popping up.

Erin Condren.com. If you’re a planner junkie like me, this is the site to be on.  Erin Condren just came out with office décor & command center-type wall organizers that I’m dying to grab!

Etsy.com.  Etsy has so many unbelievably gorgeous handmade gifts for any and every budget.  Their gift lists are super easy to navigate.

Walmart.com. I haven’t heard a ton of buzz about Walmart sales this year, but their home & toy selections are usually out-of-control cheap.

BestBuy.com. Hello, electronics!  Cyber Monday is always off the hook at this store.  Definitely read up on the Black Friday buzz before you shop, to make sure the models that are on sale are not outdated.  That’s happened to me before, unfortunately.

Conclusion:

The Holidays are stressful enough.  Take a few minutes to check the items off of this list, and be ready to roll when Black Friday and Cyber Monday come barreling in.  Happy and healthy shopping!

  1. I like the idea of signing up for all email lists. I am always unsubscribing from those because I hate getting so many emails but it’s true you can get a lot of special deals that others don’t get just by being a subscriber! I might have to rethink my approach 🙂

    • I definitely check my emails & unsubscribe at the beginning of the year Amy! I hope you are scoring some awesome deals & having a great week!
