Healthy Berry Smoothies Recipes
Want a healthy and nutritious snack for your kids? Don’t want to spend loads of time creating something that may not taste good? How about a healthy berry smoothies recipe and the kids can make it themselves, it’s just that easy.
Healthy Berry Smoothies Supplies
- Braun Puremix Blender
- Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries
- Half a banana
- 1/2 cup of yogurt
- Juice
- Water
Because I was only making a smoothy for the two little kids, I used the smaller cup which is great for smaller amounts of food. This also means it’s a quicker clean up then cleaning up the huge glass base.
My daughter added all of the ingredients she needed while I helped her with the liquids, the best part is when she got to press the liquefy button on the blender and watch a smoothy transform before her eyes.
I was surprised by how quietly the machine worked and it was quick as well.
The cup easily detaches from the base and then you can unscrew the lid to clean the blade, you can add the lid to use the cup and drink from it directly which is a wonderful portable feature.
What I love about smoothies is that you can change them very easily by adding different ingredients.
Other ingredients to add to your smoothies
- Avocado
- Milk
- Nuts
- Frozen yogurt
- Almond milk
- Spinach/kale
The possibilities are endless and each child can create since it’s so easy for them to do so and then they won’t complain that it didn’t taste good. My kids prefer not to have avocado in their’s as mom does.
I like that it’s easy to set up and clean up and it doesn’t take up too much space on my counter. Because it’s there and ready to use, I know I’ll use it more to make healthy berry smoothies for my family. This is one thing where I don’t have to fight with my kids over because if they don’t like what I made, they can go a make their own.
